Family Class: All ages
We are a family-oriented school, meaning you will see siblings, married couples, cousins, and whole families training together. Many of our adult students are parents who decided “I can do this!” and got off the sideline benches to join in on the fun. That’s because a unique aspect about Martial Arts, compared to other sports, is that parents can train right alongside their children. Studying Martial Arts is something that anybody – at any age or fitness level – can do. Martial Arts classes are fun, empowering, and provide a great workout. Whether you want to defend yourself, get fit, or just start a new adventure, our family Martial Arts classes have something to offer.
Martial arts is so much more than just kicking and punching, and getting the next colorful belt. With every class we teach, your family is growing in mind, body and character. And of course, it’s great exercise and a ton of FUN! So please have a look below to find out exactly how families can benefit from our martial arts classes.
Families connect through their training. By sharing experiences in training, families build memories that will last a lifetime. Families bond through adventuring on a series of realistic, short term goals of new belt ranks that they can attain while keeping focused on an exciting, long term goal of Black Belt. Nothing is cooler than seeing family members test and achieve Black Belt together.
Combine Family time with fitness time. Finding the time and energy to exercise can be difficult. Bringing everyone in the family together for a positive experience can be challenging. Fortunately, there is a comprehensive solution in our family Martial Arts classes.
Feel great about yourself. It’s common for families to struggle as they deal with overloaded school assignments, competitive work environments and overloaded to-do lists. People who study Martial Arts learn to search within themselves for their finest qualities. They learn to self-motivate and not to worry what others think of them. Martial Arts instruction brings out the best in people.
Alleviate anxiety. Families need an outlet for their worry and anxiety – and Martial Arts classes provide it. In the absence of such an outlet, you might carry anxiety inside of you and inadvertently take it out on other family members. Martial Arts classes burn calories, release tension and anxiety, and helps keep the whole family on an even keel mentally and emotionally.
Learn how to stand up for yourself. Many people feel vulnerable and wish that they had a way to defend themselves if they end up in a dangerous situation. Martial Arts classes build strength, confidence, and agility while teaching basic but effective self-defense moves that people of all ages can put into practice. Studying Martial Arts can help you feel more confident and believe in your ability to ward off an attack.
Rise to the top. Earning a Black Belt in Martial Arts looks great on a college application. Ascending through the belt ranks builds confidence by providing a series of realistic, short term goals that students can attain while keeping them focused on an exciting, long term goal of Black Belt. With each success, their confidence improves until they believe that, with hard work and dedication, they can accomplish just about anything. In the business world, being a Martial Artist pays huge dividends. It strengthens your focus, goal-setting, confidence and perseverance for a huge competitive advantage.
Family classes are Twice-a-Week.
